The Ashland Lions and the Hopkinton Lions will join to sponsor a Music Bingo Night at the Ashland V.F.W. on Pleasant Street on Friday, March 15th from 6:30pm to 9:30pm. Free admission. There will be a cash bar, snacks, prizes for bingo winners and a raffle for a chance to win $300.00 worth of lottery scratch tickets. All are welcome!

Ashland Lions Meat Raffles

Have you ever been to a Ashland Lions meat raffle at TJs? Attendees buy raffle tickets to win the opportunity to choose an item from 4 tables chock full of premium meats and cheeses. Come have some lunch, buy some raffle tickets and join in the fun! Our next one will be held on Saturday, March 2nd at 12pm, at TJs Food and Spirits in Ashland, and continue the first Saturday of each month throughout the winter. See you there!

Ashland Lions Regatta on the Sudbury River

The Ashland Lions will hold their 4th annual Lions Toy Boat “Regatta” on the Sudbury River on Saturday, March 23rd, 2023 (rain date Sunday March 24th). Numbered boats, starting from the canoe launch at Gryncel Park will “race” under the bridge by Burnams, over the falls at Marathon Park and down the river to a finish line behind the V.F.W. on Pleasant Street. Boats will be launched at 10:00am. Come watch this fun event! You do not need to be present to win. Tickets, corresponding to the boat numbers, are $5 each or 3 for $10. Only 300 tickets will be sold. Cash prizes will be awarded to the top 3 finishers. For tickets call Lion “Dok” at (508) 881-4664 or from any Ashland Lion. On Saturday, March 30th the Lions will be at the Ashland Market Basket on Pond Street collecting food for the Ashland Food Pantry from 9:00am to 3:00pm. Shoppers will be given a list of desired non-perishable food items as they enter the store and the items will be collected as they leave. Cash donations will also be welcomed. Please come to support this worthy cause.

Eyeglasses and Cellphone Collection

Eyeglasses and cellphone collection is a year-round project with collection of used prescription and nonprescription eyeglasses, sunglasses, hearing aids and cell phones. In the past year we have collected over 1000 pairs of glasses!

Seniors, why not join us and other members of the community for breakfast? Senior Breakfasts are on the first Thursday of each month, held at the Ashland Senior Center, 162 West Union St in Ashland. This event runs through May.
