I would like to take this opportunity to Thank everyone who have supported our fundraisers (like the Coat Drive, Porchetta, Pasta with Elvis, Wreaths and Swags, and Quiz Night).
Also supporting our community projects like; Peace Poster Contest and Youth Speech Contest, Making May Baskets (for those seniors that are shut in) and Scholarships.
The Greater Ashland Lions Club worked with the fourth-grade teachers of the Mindess School, on an Arbor Day event. We gave out over 200 Douglas Fir seedlings to each student and teacher to plant.
Holidays of note: Belmont Stakes (6/1), National Dairy Month (6/1), D-Day (6/6), National Donut Day (6/7), National Children Day (6/9), National Take Your Cat to Work Day (6/17), Summer Solstice (6/21), National Take Your Dog to Work Day (6/21) and Helen Keller Day (6/27).
Do you have any used eyeglasses or un-needed hearing aids hanging around? We’ll take them! Please bring them to the Police Station (located in the Public Safety Building at 12 Union St), Market Basket (Pond Street / Rte.126), the VFW (at 311 Pleasant Street), or the Town Hall (Main Street).
