Get ready for a summer filled with excitement, exploration, and reading at Ashland Public Library’s Summer Reading Club! This year, our theme is “Read, Renew, Repeat,” and we invite kids and teens to embark on a literary journey like never before.

What is the Summer Reading Club?

The Summer Reading Club is a fun and engaging program designed to encourage a love of reading in children and teens. Participants can choose books from our extensive collection, attend special events, and earn rewards for reaching their reading goals.

How Does it Work?

For kids: Sign up for the Summer Reading Club at the library OR online, starting on June 10th. Once you’re registered, stop by the library to grab your free book and brag tag necklace. Kids will be adding special beads to their necklace as the summer progresses. Keep track of the books you read on Beanstack- our reading tracking app- or on a paper tracker. Reach your reading goals to earn more free books!

For teens: Register for the Teen Summer Reading Challenge at the library or online, beginning June 10th. Log your hours reading on Beanstack- the more you read, the more you win! Reading hours will earn you tickets which are redeemable for mystery prizes.

• Stories, Songs & Stretches yoga story time on Monday, June 24th  10:00 - 10:30 am @ Farmer’s Market Field.

• Vernal Pool Exploration with Becca on Tuesday, June 25th  2:00 - 3:00 pm

• Mr. Vinny the Bubble Guy on Wednesday, June 26th  2:00 - 3:00 pm

• LEGO Club with Ms. Kim on Thursday, June 27th  10:30 - 11:30 am. Register online.

• Wingmasters Raptor event on Wednesday, July 17th  2:00 - 3:00 pm. Register online.

• Whalemobile on Thursday, August 1st  4:00 - 6:00 pm. Register online.

• Atlantic White Shark Conservancy: Shark Biology 101 on Thursday, August 15th  2:00 - 3:00pm. Register online.
